Personally I’m more a fan of the crotchless variant so you don’t need to ruin them in order to get to the goal. They tear easily enough as it is being made from a rather thin material that’s not all too durable and every time the tiniest little thing catches on it and tears it, the thing just keeps opening more and more over time.

Be it pantyhose or fishnets, both were made to be lovingly ripped.
